PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP
REGULAR MEETING
March 16, 2005

Meeting was called to order at 1:00 P.M. by the Supervisor, followed by the pledge of allegiance.

Present: Parkinson, Brown, Bassi, Bielby, Caverly and no citizens

Approval of Minutes: Motion by Caverly seconded by Brown to approve the minutes of the February 19, 2005 regular meeting. Roll call vote: All Ayes. Motion carried. Motion by Brown seconded by Caverly to approve the minutes of the February 24, 2005 Special meeting. Roll call vote: All Ayes. Motion carried.

Financial Report: All accounts are balanced.

Presentation of Bills: Motion by Brown seconded by Caverly to approve the bills as presented. Roll call vote: All Ayes. Motion carried.

Public comments: None.

Building Dept.: John Heilman reported to the Board the number of permits issued and some of the zoning issues that are being pursued. He also reported that the plans for the Independent Bank addition were approved by the Planning Commission and will start construction soon.

Library Fund: We need to set up a Budgeted fund for the Library. Motion by Bassi seconded by Parkinson to create a Library Fund, separate from the general fund, to account for the Library millage that was passed in August 2004. This fund will have it’s own checking account and will be used for Library purposes only. Roll call vote: All Ayes. Motion carried.

Centurytel Phone system: We received information on installing a new phone system in the Township Offices. The present system is leased for $118.50 a month. Motion by Brown seconded by Caverly to enter in a contract with Centurytel to purchase and install a new phone system at a cost of $4,065.48 for 9 phones. Roll call vote: All Ayes. Motion carried.

Motion by Bassi seconded by Brown to adjourn at 1:55 P.M. All Ayes. Motion carried.
