PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP
REGULAR MEETING
JULY 19, 2006

 

The Supervisor called the meeting to order at 3:00 P.M., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Present:  Parkinson, Brown, Bielby, Bassi, Caverly, and 2 citizens. 

Approval of Minutes: Motion by Bassi seconded by Caverly to approve the minutes of  the June 21, 2006 regular meeting. Roll call vote: All Ayes. Motion carried.

Presentation of Bills:  Motion by Brown seconded by Caverly to approve the bills as presented. Roll call vote:  All Ayes. Motion carried.

Parks Resignation:  Motion by Parkinson seconded by Brown to accept the resignation of Carrie Portuesi from the Parks & Recreation Board. Roll call vote:  All Ayes. Motion carried. We will run an ad in the paper for Board openings.

Election workers:  The Clerk presented a list of 15 election workers to be approved for working at either the primary or the general elections.  Motion by Caverly seconded by Bassi to approve this list. Roll call vote. All Ayes. Motion carried.

Public comments: 3:20p.m.  Bernie Hauer asked the Board, on behalf of some citizens, if there is any way the Board could look into getting some police protection in our Township, either by proposed millage or a contract with the Sheriff Dept. Chuck said he would look into it.

Motion by Bassi seconded by Bielby to adjourn at 3:35 p.m. All Ayes. Motion carriedl
