PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP
REGULAR MEETING
SEPTEMBER 2006

 

The Supervisor called the meeting to order at 3:00 P.M., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Present:  Parkinson, Brown, Bielby, Bassi, Caverly, and 3 citizens. 

Approval of Minutes: Motion by Caverly seconded by Brown to approve the minutes of  the August 16, 2006 regular meeting, with one correction the Supervisor approved a zoning permit not a building permit. . Roll call vote: All Ayes. Motion carried.

Presentation of Bills:  Motion by Caverly seconded by Brown to approve the bills as presented. Roll call vote:  All Ayes. Motion carried.

Vacate a road. Tom Huck addressed the Board regarding vacating a road in Kokosing Subdivision.  This will be submitted to the Road Commission.

Streets Resolution:  Motion by Bielby supported by Bassi to establish Road Special Assessment districts 1-21 for road maintenance and improvements pursuant to Public act #188. These districts will last for 5 years 2006 thru 2010 and will generate $101,580.65 for road maintenance and $19,484.30 for dust control. Roll call vote: Ayes: Caverly, Bielby, Bassi, Brown and Parkinson. Nays: None. Motion carried.

Private Road Meeting:  The meeting for Private Roads (the special assessment districts 1-21) will be October 11, 2006 at 2 p.m.

November Board Meeting:  The Board approved to change the November 15 meeting to November 8 at 3:00 p.m.

Information to the Board:  New signs are needed at the Waste Site. MTA conference in January, any Board member wishing to attend information has to be in by Nov. 1.

Motion by Bassi seconded by Bielby to adjourn at 4:10 p.m. All Ayes. Motion carried.
