The Supervisor called the meeting to order at 3:00 P.M., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Present: Parkinson, Brown, Bielby, Caverly, and 9 citizens. Absent: Bassi Approval of Minutes: Motion by Caverly seconded by Brown to approve the minutes of the September 20, 2006 regular meeting. Roll call vote: 4 Ayes. 1 Absent. Motion carried. Motion by Caverly seconded by Brown to approve the minutes of the October 3, 2006 special meeting. Roll call vote: 4 Ayes.1 Absent. Motion carried. Motion by Brown seconded by Caverly to approve the minutes of the October 11, 2006 Special meeting. Roll call vote: 4 Ayes. 1 Absent. Motion carried. Presentation of Bills: Motion by Caverly seconded by Brown to approve the bills as presented. Roll call vote: 4 Ayes. 1 Absent. Motion carried. DNR Steve Krantz: Steve asked if the Township would take over the park at Long Lake off Kokosing Rd. We could enter into a lease with the DNR for the maintenance of this park. The dock and bathrooms would remain. We will look into this further. He also stated that there is a need for employment at Rifle River State Park. Anyone interested could contact him. Audit Report: Stu Reid from Weinlander Fitzhugh, reported to the Board on the audit. The audit went very well and the Township is in excellent financial condition. The audit report is available at the Township hall. Zoning Ordinances: F.Joseph Pellens presented to the Board a proposal to update/revise the Township Zoning Ordinances. Mr. Pellens answered questions from the Board and the public on his qualifications and this contract. Mr. Pellens will be working closely with the Planning Commission, ZBA Board and Township Board. Motion by Brown seconded by Caverly to enter into a contract with F. Joseph Pellens for updating/revising the Township Zoning Ordinances at a cost to the Township of $6,000.00 plus materials to be paid in 3 equal payments in Dec. 2006, March 2007 and at completion in June 2007. Roll call vote: 4 Ayes. 1 Absent. Motion carried. Goose Busters: Mr. MacArthur requested approval to contract with Goose Busters for the control of Geese at Londo Lake. Motion by Caverly seconded by Parkinson to approve this request. Roll call vote: 4 Ayes. 1 Absent. Motion carried. Winter Hours: The Township office hours for the winter starting November 6, 2006 thru March 30, 2007 will be 7:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. Monday thru Thursday. The offices will be closed on Fridays.
